That is why Thrillify now includes Event Chat: an optional, event-wide chat that lets every participant message everyone else in the event from inside the app via an event-wide comment thread.


One Conversation for the Whole Event

Event Chat gives you a simple, central place for participants to connect with the entire room, not just the people they already know.

When it is enabled, participants will see a chat icon in the app. Tapping it opens the event-wide chat where they can:

  • Ask questions and get answers from other participants
  • Coordinate meetups, team plans, or breakout conversations
  • Share quick reactions, reminders, and updates in the moment
  • Keep the energy up between challenges, sessions, or activities

It is a lightweight feature, but it can make a big difference in how social the event feels.


Turn It On in Event General Settings

Event Chat is fully optional and controlled by the event organizer.

To enable it, open your event in Backstage and turn on Event Chat in the event general settings. Once it is enabled, the chat icon appears in the mobile app for participants who have joined the event.

That means you can decide which events should feel more open and conversational, and which ones should stay focused on the core challenge flow.

This is especially useful when you want to add just enough social interaction without making the experience feel noisy or distracting.


Where Event Chat Fits Best

Event Chat works well anywhere people benefit from a shared backchannel.
