How do I review reported content?
Reviewing Reported Content
When players report a challenge submission or comment during your event, you can review and take action on it from Thrillify Backstage. Reported content will remain visible for up to 24 hours while it awaits your review.
You can review reported content in two places:
- Event View — see reports for a specific event
- Organization Settings — see reports across all of your events
Content should be reviewed for violations of the Acceptable Use Policy.
Review Reports for a Specific Event
Step 1: Open Your Event
Log in to Thrillify Backstage and navigate to the event you want to review.
Step 2: Go to the Reported Content Tab
In the Event View, click the Reported Content tab in the sidebar. This will show all reported content for that event.
Step 3: Filter and Review
Use the Status and Content Type filters to narrow down the list:
- Status: Filter by Pending, Approved, or Blocked reports
- Content Type: Filter by Submissions or Comments
Each row in the table shows:
- The type of content (submission or comment)
- The current review status
- A preview of the reported content (photo, video, or text)
- The challenge name (for submissions)
- The content owner and the player who reported it
- The date the content was created
Step 4: Take Action
For each pending report, you have two options:
- Approve — Restores the content and makes it visible to all players again. The block is removed.
- Block — Permanently hides the content from all players.
Click Approve or Block, then confirm your choice in the dialog that appears.
TIP
Made a mistake? You can change your decision at any time — for example, approve content that was previously blocked, or block content that was previously approved.
Review Reports Across All Events
You can also easily review all reported content across your Organization in one place, without having to navigate to each event individually.
Step 1: Go to Organization Settings
In Thrillify Backstage, click Organization in the sidebar to open your organization settings.
Step 2: Go to the Reported Content Tab
Click the Reported Content tab. This view shows reported content across all events in your organization, making it easy to manage reports in one place.
Step 3: Filter and Review
The filters and actions work the same as in the Event View — filter by status and content type, then approve or block as needed.
How Reporting Works
- When a player reports a submission or comment, the content will remain visible for up to 23 hours and then will be automatically blocked while it awaits review.
- After 23 hours, other players see a notice that the content is under review instead of the original content.
- Once you approve or block the content, the content will be permanently hidden or made visible accordingly and cannot be reported again.
INFO
Only organization admins and collaborators can review reported content. Regular players cannot see who reported the content.
